A bright Dhanteras rangoli: a pot full of gold coins in the middle, a ring of big gold coins, green leaves and red dots.

Colours you need

  • yellow
  • gold-orange
  • red
  • green
  • white

Steps

  1. Draw a round pot in the middle with coins piled on top.
  2. Draw a ring of eight big coins, with pairs of leaves between them.
  3. Trace every line with white powder.
  4. Fill the pot orange with red patterns and the coins yellow.
  5. Fill the leaves green and add red dots.

With little ones: an adult draws the outline, children fill the big shapes with their fingers. Light the diyas only at the end and keep them out of reach.
